Environmental Initiatives at E.A.S

Wherever possible E.A.S Windows meets the current regulations and guidelines relating to environmental protection. E.A.S Windows performs the following company functions in an environmentally sensitive way, having regard to their impact on people and the environment:

• Purchasing of products and services;
• Management of energy and resources;
• Disposal of redundant products, manufacturing materials and other waste such as PVC off cuts; metal frames from old windows and the safe disposal of asbestos from all sites;
• Design and management of packaging;
• Development and manufacturing of products;
• Maintain an infrastructure to manage and implement this policy;

The E.A.S waste disposal ethos includes:

• Recycling of paper, plastic cups, paper, toner cartridges, plastic bags, cardboard through compaction and household glass etc;
• Elimination of waste water discharges in manufacturing processes;
• Re-use of obsolescent computer equipment.

Our environmentally friendly packaging policy means that we:

• Recyclable packaging;
• Conformance to Producer Responsibility Obligations (Package Waste) Regulations 1997.

At E.A.S Windows Services we encourage all our employees to be aware of their environment and the implications of their every day actions on the world around them.

Our offices, factory and showhome are supplied with recycling facilities that are located in convenient positions around the buildings.

The activities listed above are reviewed and revised regularly to continuously improve our environmental status.
