FUNDRAISING SUCCESS:
(l-r) Adam Spradbury (MD of
E.A.S. Windows) , Nick Hurst
(prize winner) and David

REHAU fabricator E.A.S.
Windows raised £3,500 recently for
local hospices in the East Midlands
as part of the Vantis Corporate
Fundraising Challenge.
The company, based in Oadby, called
on suppliers including REHAU and
conservatory roof specialist Premier
Frames to donate components for a
luxury 4m x 4m conservatory which it
then successfully raffled at £25 per
ticket.
The annual Vantis Challenge gives
companies just £50 and asks them to
turn that into as much money as
possible for a chosen charity. E.A.S.
decided to use its money to buy a
raffle ticket each for the eventual
beneficiaries of the fundraising -
Rainbows, the East Midlands
children’s hospice and LOROS,
hospice care for Leicestershire and
Rutland.
Vantis named E.A.S. a runner up in
the ‘innovative fundraising idea’
category at its presentation
evening, and it was one of the most
successful in terms of the amount
raised among the 55 local companies
taking part.
The eventual winner of the luxury 4m
x 4m conservatory was Nick Hurst,
a long term stationery supplier to
E.A.S. Windows who plans to have it
installed at his home before the end
of 2008.
Adam Spradbury, Managing
Director at E.A.S. Windows, was
delighted with the response from
customers, suppliers and staff to
the challenge. He said: “Everyone
involved with E.A.S. got behind our
fundraising efforts and it was a
real achievement to raise as much
money as we did. We would like to
thank all of our customers and
suppliers for their generous
donations.”
